Provides comprehensive care to patients across inpatient, outpatient and operative settings.The APP works collaboratively with neurosurgeons and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes through high quality, evidence-based care.Job Requirements

• Master s degree in Nursing required.
• Registered Professional Nurse with current NJ state license; CDS and DEA.
• CPR certification.
• NP Certification.Scheduling RequirementsFull time40 HoursDaysEssential Functions
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
  • Assist in preoperative and post operative care
  • Perform procedures: lumbar punctures, wound care, suturing, intracranial pressure monitoring
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging,
  • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with neurosurgeons
  • Round on neurosurgical patients in the ICU and step down units
  • Collaborate with critical care teams
  • Educates patients and families on surgical procedures
